This website gathers the main results of the research carried out in the framework of the NORMABioMed research project (reference PID2021-128835NB-I00), which has been granted in the recent call 2021 of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation “Proyectos de Generación de conocimiento”. This project brings together a community of university researchers from different centers and countries under the direction of Cristian Saborido and will be based at the Department of Logic, History and Philosophy of Science of UNED.
This project aims to address the theoretical foundations of biological normativity, a classic topic in the philosophy of science, with the peculiarity of doing so from a novel perspective that will include the latest advances in biology, medicine, and animal cognition. Therefore, the content of this blog will have a distinctly transdisciplinary character and a commitment to reach a wide audience.
Announcements of events, news of interest related to the project, and original texts written by the researchers of the research team that are considered to be of potential interest for specialists in the research areas of the project (philosophy and biomedical sciences), as well as for students in these areas and a general public, will be uploaded to this blog on a constant and regular basis.
